Open to 8:15 a.m.

Children participate in quiet activities. They can visit learning centers or participate in individual or small-group activities until 8.30 am.

8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Morning Meeting: Teachers will take attendance, communicate the daily calendar, involve children in music, and introduce the day’s activities.

9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

Story Time & Readers Workshop

9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Recess: Children select from a variety of outdoor activities. In addition enjoying a healthy snack

10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Writers Workshop and Phonics

11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

Mathematics: California Every Day Math Program

11:45 a.m. to 12.00 p.m.

Music Time

12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Lunch: Children wash hands, help set the tables, and eat healthy hot lunch.

12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Self-directed activities

1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.

Health and Physical Education / Art

1:45 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.

Science and Social Studies

2:45 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Afternoon Meeting: Teacher Review Day’s activities.

3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Departure (if applicable), snack and afterschool program including homework club.
